Homer Academic Booster Club Scholarship
The Homer Community Schools Academic Booster Club was founded in the fall of 1983 by parents, teachers, and administrators to promote increased parent and non-parent involvement in the Homer Community School academic program. Over the years the ABC members raised award and scholarship funds by hosting Christmas tree sales, Dime-a-Dip dinners, and most recently an annual Pasty sale. The ABCs have sponsored over 20 years of sprig honors desserts to recognize student achievement in academics and attendance. The ABCs continue to sponsor the Student of the Month program and Alumnus of the Year program, as well as maintain the Academic Hall of Fame. Each year a scholarship is given to a deserving senior for post-graduation study.
One yearly scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to a Homer High School graduate based on potential to succeed in a college curriculum to be pursued. Financial need, character, and volunteer involvement will also be considered. Click here for the scholarship application.
