An Overview
The Youth Advisory Committee is a
committee of youth that are dedicated to effective grant making,
addressing youth issues and promoting volunteerism and philanthropy.
Members of the Youth Advisory Committee attend regularly scheduled
meetings as well as sub-committee meetings, take part in special
projects and activities, volunteer and attend community foundation
events, learn about youth needs within our community and grant money for
youth projects twice a year. YAC is a way to have fun and benefit
the community at the same time.

of inclination to increase the well-being of humankind, as by charitable
aid or donation. 2. Love of humankind in general.

The Homer Arts Advisory
Committee (HAAC)
The Homer Arts
Advisory Committee was created to be a forum open to all people who
understand the importance of the arts within a community and have a
desire to further the advancement of the arts in the Homer area.
The founding committee has begun the work of creating a structure,
scheduling the initial events, and establishing a beginning operating
budget. The committee s being administered under the Homer Area
Community Foundation. All are welcome to participate.
Monthly meetings are held at the Homer Area Community Foundation Office.
HAAC is pleased to provide many events that are free to the public.
Community theater, community choir, Art in Public Places, Barneyville
Sketches, and puppet workshops are many things that bring the arts to
Homer. Donations are appreciated.
We invite you to support the arts of the Homer area by generously
sponsoring the operating and endowed funds, which will provide tax
advantages. The sponsor levels are Mozart Society $2,000;
Classical $1,000; Renaissance $500, Expressionist $250; Romance $100;
Baroque $50.
